ART & DESIGN

Ligne Blanche Paris, in collaboration with the Jean-Michel Basquiat Foundation, recently announced their latest collaboration, a series of three new perfumed candles honoring the acclaimed artist. Each of these candles features a painting of one of the most underground artist of New York City in the 1980’s – “Evil Thoughts” (1982), “King Pleasure” (1987) and “Cowboy & Indian” (1982). The patterns illustrated on the candles – graffiti, bats, teeth, creatures between voodoo and superheroes from vintage comics – are typical of the wild and original universe of the artist. The scents were created by Givaudan, the world-renown producer of fine fragrances and include notes of jasmine and peony (“Evil Thoughts”), fig and bergamot (“King Pleasure”) and ylang flowers and smoked tea (“Cowboy & Indian”).
