Life+Times Premiere: Sara Savery “The Diver”

“When I’m writing lyrics, I like to try to capture an image of a moment, as if briefly diving into a passage of a story. I was inspired by the whole chaotic and sensual vibe of Brooklyn. I guess the overall state of the lyric writing as well as the song writing comes from a sense of letting go, making changes and exploring the unknown. To me, ‘The Diver’ is a lot about that sensation of discovery. In a way, it’s also a reference to the creative process I’m in when making music. It’s about exploring the layers of ideas. Journeys of diving and re-emerging. I really hope the listeners will enjoy diving into my world.” – Sara Savery
