Rick Owens (Rizzoli, October 2011) is a large-format monograph, designed by Mr. Owens himself, that showcases monumental images spanning his career. He’s described his aesthetic as “glunge” (a combination of grunge and glamour) but as Owens tells Life+Times, that word seems to be a bit dated. “I was being a bit glib when I said that 10 years ago but it still applies, I guess,” he states. “These days I think ‘Brancusi spaceship’…” Here’s a personal look into some of the book’s iconic images, courtesy of Asha Mines.
