Cole Haan’s VP of Design Speaks On Fragment Design Collaboration

Cole Haan recently launched the third installment of its LunarGrand collaboration with fragment design, first at Dover Street Market Ginza, Japan, followed by Cole Haan SoHo and will release to other retailers globally, tomorrow, February 6th. Building on the December release of a new saddle shoe and penny tassel loafer, this release brings two additional new styles: The Cole Haan & fragment design LunarGrand Long Wing and the Cole Haan & fragment design LunarGrand Venetian Bit. “The LunarGrand came from our perpetual obsession with making our products better,” says Phil Russo, Cole Haan’s VP of Design. “When you understand what people are doing in their shoes today, their expectations of style and demands of functionality, you can create products that really do make a difference as people go about their everyday lives.” Incorporating Nike’s innovative ultra-lightweight Lunarlon cushioning system into Cole Haan’s traditional construction techniques, the LunarGrand achieves unrivaled feel, fit, flexibility and traction—redefining how classic dress shoes can move and function in modern urban environments.
