I love the idea that we are warriors in our lives, fighting for, and protecting, what we love, all the while being open armed and open hearted. Never giving up. To receive the most benefit from this pose, we hold it for a while, which can seem difficult. It creates heat in our bodies, our hips, and just to breathe allows us to stay calm and challenge ourselves to move further. This is a beautiful way to envision our art, our lives. Face our fears, reveal ourselves, connect with something even deeper. And all of this by just focusing on the breath.”
