“One of the best experiences I’ve had as a photographer. Originally, Vibe had sent me to cover Nas’ interview to promote a new track he was doing with DJ Premier. To my luck, they were behind with filming video of the actual recording process and I showed up early. All of a sudden, the team filming said I could shoot stills of Nas from inside the booth, as long as I didn’t get in their shot. That was a treat for me being a big fan of his music. I chalk that one up to just being in the right place at the right time.”
