“This was taken at the end of a cover shoot Mary was doing for Vibe. I was there to take behind-the-scenes photos and video footage of everything that was going on. This shot shows just how involved Ms. Blige was with the process and her desire to get it right. It’s always great to see that care and dedication from an artist of her stature. A lot of times people lose interest and leave such tasks to their assistants or manager, so seeing that was pretty cool.”
