What a way to go.

To usher out its current V8 powered S5 and move in the lauded high performance RS5, Audi will be releasing a 4.2 Special Edition version of the coupe. Conceptualized by Barry Hoch, the product planner for Audi’s A4/S4 and A5/S5 lineup and limited to only 125 units, this offering of the S5 marks the last of the cars that will boast the 4.2 V8 engine while the newer models will adopt a 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6.

Available only in Daytona Grey, a color usually reserved for Audi’s R and RS models, and equipped with a two-tone S-Line interior and carbon fiber trim, this limited edition S5 will start around $70,000 and is expected to be snatched up by enthusiasts before even it rolls into dealerships.
