“Having that light of guidance is a blessing that falls on few, perhaps many, but as I move through my life, it confuses me who is being guided and who is not. I offer my personal guidance to many as I am considered ‘the shaman,’ ‘a guru,’ ‘the goddess,’ and at times, I feel the strength of each one of those labels. A matriarch no doubt I am, the elder, and the blessings to know I am a wise one. Wise enough to know you can ‘take a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.’ I am determined to guide my granddaughter whether she wants it or not.
