Padmasana – “Lotus pose”

“A cross legged meditation pose, with my back straight, shoulders relaxed and down, head is balanced, palms resting face up to receive. This is a grounding and focused pose for me. I sit in this pose at the start and end of my yoga practice, and often when I want to meditate on writing music. When I am performing, this is a pose I can imagine myself being in, when I want to connect to a feeling of stillness and space in music.”
