Designer Raf Simon‘s first showing for Dior brought back the heritage of the couture of the 1940’s – complete with elongated gowns, fitted coat dresses, a mixing of tuxedo jackets and dramatic dresses – while incorporating a palette of navy, royal blues, vibrant yellows and subtle pink pastels. Fashion Gone Rogue may have said it best: “With a focus on silhouettes and proportions, Simons ushered in a new era of Dior with a collection of thoroughly modern yet timeless pieces.”
