The Mind of Artist & Set Designer Gary Card

Last year, Visionaire used children’s books as the theme for their latest issue, giving designers such Victor and Rolf, as well as Bjork and Richard Philips their own book to design. I was lucky enough to also be asked illustrate one of my own with Hollywood screen writer Dan Harris, who wrote Superman Returns and X-Men 2. This is my favorite image from the book; an army of vengeful Dodo warriors marching forth who are ready to enslave the human race. The story is now being developed by a major film studio to be turned into a full-length animated movie. It’s nice to know I got there first.
