The Notorious B.I.G. – Ready to Die

As a youngster when this record came out, I was first drawn to it by the single “Big Poppa.” I bought the record and was blown away by the quality of every word he says. Biggie was a master of storytelling. I often listen to his records and feel like movies could be made based on his stories in his songs. Even as a kid though, I wished Puff Daddy would have been edited out of those records. All his ad-libs always annoyed me. Maybe someday I’ll get the files and just mute Puffy Combs from every single Biggie track. The world will be a better place.
