The MilSub Reference 5517 on Mil-Spec Grey NATO
There is only one Rolex watch to ever be designed exclusively for use with NATO straps, and that is the MilSub, or the special British Ministry of Defense Submariners from the 1970s. These watches were built with fixed bars for strength’s sake – this means you simply can not attach a leather strap or bracelet to them, only slide a NATO in under the immovable lug bars.
