“This shoot was a hip hop classic. It also featured AZ and Foxy Brown, and was for a promotion for The Firm project. The setting was in a sound stage at Sony Studios. I remember being amped and excited to be working with all three rap superstars at the same time. After six hours of waiting patiently, I asked my assistant to strike the set and pack our gear. Half way through, Nas finally showed up, then AZ and I decided to snap a few solos of them while waiting for the Ill Nana, who was nine hours late. This was hip hop at its finest: pre-etiquette school and never on schedule, but always on time. Once we got going I realized I had gems in the box and all bad thoughts were forgotten.”
