“”The Pinnacle of Class And Taste” is the end of one side of the record – it’s really short. You flip it over and Carminelitta comes in: “I miss those days when our love was brand new.” So you come off this high point, turn the record over and get to another question and you think, ‘what happened?’ I thought [Carminelitta] had a cool voice, so I hit her up and was like, ‘Yo, I’m trying to do an interlude – 90’s-style R&B.’ I sent her a different track, actually, and she did a poem over it, the whole thing is ad-libbed. She sent it back and I arranged some music around it.”
