“Cherry Oh, Cherry Oh Baby”

“This is a painting from a new series I’m working on. I walk the streets collecting everybody else’s trash, and then I take it back to my studio and use the trash like paint brushes. We dip the garbage in the paint and drag it across the canvas. Some of it sticks to the painting. In this painting you can’t miss the shopping cart, Eggo Waffles box, and venetian blinds, but on closer inspection, you notice a small dead bird and a half-eaten slice of pizza.”
