The Fisker Karma doesn’t sacrifice substance for style. The hybrid electric drive system delivers instant and constant power (no gear-shifting required), boasts a 0-60 time of 5.9 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 125 miles per hour. The sedan drives up to 50 miles solely on zero-emissions, battery power – more than enough to handle the average daily commute. An on-board generator extends the vehicle’s range to 300 miles for longer jaunts.

Beyond driving desire, the car’s striking design also is fueling demand. The Fisker Karma, slated to arrive in showrooms this summer, has sold out with pre-orders through at least October. (Fisker Automotive)

The 2012 Fisker Karma pricing starts at $95,900 and tops out at $108,000 fully loaded.
