Jason Kidd
J-Kidd will go down as the greatest New Jersey Nets player of all-time. Rod Thorn found the franchise charm when he traded Stephon Marbury for Kidd in 2001. The do-it-all point guard led the team to a 26-win turnaround in his first season. He single-handedly transformed the Nets from the laughing-stock on the league to title contenders, leading them to consecutive NBA Finals appearances in 2002 and ’03. He went 23-4 against the Nets cross-town rivals the New York Knicks. Kidd was runner-up to Tim Duncan in the MVP voting for the 2002 season.
