Sunny Day Real Estate – Diary

I remember the first time I heard Sunny Day [Real Estate], I was in elementary school and I thought it was so different. I used to call information (remember that?) and get the lead singer’s phone number and call him. I met him a few years ago and asked if he remembered talking to me. He said I creeped him out. I listened to this record again recently and it didn’t hold up in the way that I had hoped it would have for me. Nevertheless, it was a huge influence on my music making in the early days of it.
