“What Love Is,” the latest electronic-laced single by NYC-based band, LOLAWOLF, captures the essence of what it truly feels like to unexpectedly fall in love. The subliminal bass guitar, playful synths, and candid love ridden lyrics (“I wanna know what love is/I really hope that it’s not you”) passionately sung by frontwoman, Zoe Kravitz, makes this an atypical love angst ballad for a common emotion. LOLAWOLF also includes three members of Reputante — James Levy, Raviv Ullman and Jimmy Giannopoulos (who produced the record). Reputante recently signed to Julian Casablancas’ label, Cult Records.
