Fuck man. I loved the Black album. True.

WoW Pharrell! I thought that this was a great way to pay homage to Mr. Carter & The Black Album.
Pharrell said “If it weren’t true I wouldn’t be able to say that.”
Enough said Pharrell! I feel you whole heartedly 🙂 -
Allure is a beautiful song and one of my favorites. The imagery is so vivid: the music that Pharrell creates colorfully, through music, sets the scene and Jay as the storyteller delivers a narrative so well that it connects with the listener on a personal level. You are sitting with someone reflecting on their life and while you may not share the exact same experience, you understand it. You can relate to what that experience means as we each have our own “allure”- that thing in life that can blind you in the pursuit of the perceived perfection of “it” be it love, money, power, notoriety, worthiness, etc.
If the unexamined life is not worth living, thanks Jay for providing a worthy pause for reflection.

Pharrell + Jay both ‘get’ art, I like to believe that I do too <3

10 years already!!! Timeless homie! My favorite Allure is the lenny s. , jus blaze remix from your S. Carter/Reebok promotional CD for the Black album. It is criizaacckkkk! I was bumping that on my way to work the other morning. Keep up the good work Jay. You inspire me to keep going and as I grow older, your accomplishments show me that it is never too late.
