Theron: That was initially an idea for Rihanna. There are Caribbean references in there. If you listen close enough you’ll hear the Caribbean elements. It ended up working out though. It was great for Miley.

Timothy: We wrote it in Atlanta. Mike Will sent us the beat. That record took about five to ten minutes to finish. When Rihanna didn’t cut it, we knew we had to find somebody for it, because we knew it was a hit. Once Miley heard it she loved it.
