I remember we were on tour when Clive Davis called Wyclef and me saying he needed us to work on this record for Carlos Santana. I’ve always been a big fan of Carlos. He’s a great musician. As soon as Clef said “Jerry we’re going to do this record” I packed my MPC and my bass guitar and we hit San Francisco. It was us, the engineer and The Product G&B. The Product G&B were two artists from Long Island, New York. When you look at Money Harm – the one that’s singing – he looks like someone that’s about to drop sixteen bars, but when he starts singing you’re like “Hold up!” He has that special tone. We brought him with us to San Francisco to work with Carlos and we created the record right there. It was pretty simple and just great vibes.
