Moombahton, my first and most recent addiction, is a fairly new genre of music created by Dave Nada. He describes it as a “…mid-tempo global bass music for the universe. It’s a sonic marriage of electronic dance music (house, techno, and dubstep) with latin/island music (reggeaton, cumbia, and dancehall) that flows at a pace of about 108 beats per minute.” Basically everything I’ve been waiting for. If you ever partied in San Juan [Puerto Rico] – especially as a teenager –  you’ve see first hand the influence of reggaeton. That’s where I fell in love with it. Add the rest of the elements & I’ve found my home.
