Rage Against Censorship

At Lollapalooza ’93, in an effort to protest music censorship and “explicit material” stickering, the four members of Rage stood naked on-stage with duct tape over their mouths for 15 minutes. The letters “PMRC” (the acronym stands for Parents Music Resource Center) were written on their chests. The protest was cited as a direct jab at Al Gore‘s wife Tipper Gore, who was heavily involved in the PMRC and instrumental in the stickered music campaign.
