” We had been writing that song. Tricky Stewart randomly dropped by the studio and heard the song. He was overseeing the soundtrack for the Think Like A Man movie. They had already been doing camps for the projects. He liked the song. He had us change up some things. Some words already said ‘Act like a man and think like a woman’, so we just made that the hook. We kept the melody. We switched it up a little bit to make sure it was all the way right. The next day we get the call that they were gonna put Ne-Yo on it. The day after that we get the call that they were gonna put Rick Ross on it. The way it happened – a lot of the times artists get songs and we don’t know if they like it yet and we wait to hear back.
