D’evils is my joint. Still love this album.

My fave is “Regrets”. Dude came out to that joint at his 10th Anniversary concert in a throwback Lex. I could’ve left after that song and been GOOD! Classic album.

Reasonable Doubt will always be my favorite album and trust me I love Jay’s ENTIRE catalog. There’s just something about “Can I Live?” that continues to blow my mind : “I’d rather die enormous than live dormant. That’s how we on it.” #GENIUS

If you listen to not only this record but the whole album, it just takes you back to when Jay was so “raw”. I mean right now he is real polished like a ball player who picks his kill spots. But back then he was just in it for highlights he was rhyming his ass off with no particular formula like he was in a cypher with himself. Growth & Greatness!

LYRICAL BEAST one of the best lyrics of all time…what are you bringing to the table?

  • Anonymous

you hear him talk … you hear him rap .. why is it that i could never get tired of this .. jay provides a breath of sanity .. never in jay – z ‘s rhymes can your concious say (shut-up) its just a spiritual release one that has so much life to it when he opens up whats inside him. When you hear typical rappers sometimes you get annoyed but with jay its never the case.

    trying to make a doller
    out of fifteen cents
while the man in all black
    trying to take my soul
    my jesus piece hang
    ready to unload

Beyonce was 15 when this came out. LOL. She couldn’t predict she’d be married to this lyrical genius. Jay Z is still putting it down.

Reasonable Doubt was and still is ahead of it’s time, I remember when me and my boys first heard 22 two’s; incredible music. Watching him perform the entire album from back to front at the 10th anniversary concert was the illest Jay-z performance I have ever seen. Definitely my favorite Hov album.

“I’d rather die enormous then live dormant. That’s how on it”….One of my favorite lines from Jay cause that sum up his career far as music and business. Live your life and go get it.
