Letter To Hermione Feat. Bilal (Robert Glasper and Jewels Remix Feat. Black Milk)

“That’s my boy Jewels from DC. I actually met Jewels years ago through Myspace. He would come to my gigs whenever I passed through DC just to support, and he played me some beats one day and I was like, ‘Oh my god!’ He sent me his album with his group called Sunz of Soul and it was a crazy album. His beats were incredible. So whenever I would go to DC and had extra time, I would go to his crib and we would just do beats together. We had a great chemistry. He’s unknown, so I thought this was a good way for him to get some shine, as well. So we did this joint together at his crib. For Black Milk, I went to London and did a show, and Black Milk was on my flight. I had a day off that day, so I went and saw him perform with his band. I’ve always been a fan of Black Milk, I met him, he was super-cool. I hit him up about this joint and he was like, ‘Cool.’ I literally sent Black Milk this track and he turned it around in an hour.”
