On Sunday, Team USA, in their Dream Team throwbacks, escaped a late rally from the Manu Ginobili -led Argentinian national team, 86-80. The final score isn’t indicative of how much the U.S. dominated their match up against the South American powerhouse, but it does reflect just how good this team can be. As Team USA continues to gear up for London (they play Spain in their final exhibition game on Tuesday) Life + Times revisits the Olympic men’s basketball team’s top plays in exhibition, while looking forward to their Gold medal defense starting Sunday July 29, against France.

LBJ’s Behind the Back Inbounds Pass

On July 12, Team USA squared off against the John Calipari coached Dominican Republic national team in their first exhibition game. Here, King James catches the Dominican’s sleeping and goes behind the back to find a cutting Deron Williams off the inbounds. Team USA routed D.R. 113-59.
