“Drake” (S.O.B.S., NYC 2009)

[I] knew very little about Drake during this time. I just joined Twitter and I remember my timeline being filled up with talks of this actor turned rapper who was signed to Young Money. Then I heard he was going to have his first NYC show at my favorite place to shoot shows, S.O.B.S, and it was sold out. I was still not impressed. It was not until I heard that this young lady was standing in “line” for the show and it was only 2pm or so. This is when I knew I had to be at this show. In short, it was historic. I climbed up into the sound booth to capture this image. I wanted to give the viewers something different this time. Happy I did. I got there at the right time!
