“It was a surprise to the hundreds of swimmers in the bay of Bondi Beach. While we circled out and around the beach a few times, I was facing the ocean rather than the land and started to shoot the swimmers sort of as a fluke. It’s tough b/c the water is very dark compared to the beach so you have to lower your shutter speed and hope there is no blur. This is a very popular image amongst the series.”
