Respect the Shooter: Ezra Petronio



Parisian fashion and culture biannual Self Service Magazine was founded by Ezra Petronio and Suzanne Koller, who are also the founders of strategic and creative agency Petronio Associates. Ezra, who has been documenting the world of celebrity and fashion design with his Polaroid Camera hand selected a few to share with Life+Times. Here, he weighs in and provides personal anecdotes on what it was like to shoot the likes of Jeff Koons, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen.

“We shot in a suite at the George V Hotel in Paris. He was the most familiar with my ­process of shooting and would always manage to keep the precise look he wanted regardless of which angle I would shoot him from. A consummate professional.”

    other than access, I’m not sure what these images depict. I think the shot of Ford was a good one, but they seemed to kind of fall off from there. would be very interested to see the feedback of others in the coming days, weeks, etc.

    (years..) They are poorly scanned, he managed to take some them out of focus, he is even shaking is seems. Some are nice, the Tom one is the best, some should’ve stayed offline.. so I agree
