In the premiere episode of “Off The Wall,” a new series spotlighting contemporary collections and exhibitions by progressive artists and designers, Life+Times visits with Los Angeles-based jewelry designer and 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund recipient Jennifer Meyer, as she breaks down her latest pieces inspired by the upcoming film, The Great Gastby.

Those are some nice pieces but technically speaking the Chrysler Building was not a
part of the New York of The Great Gatsby. The story is set in 1922 and the Chrysler
Building was not completed and opened to the public until 1930. Construction started in 1928 so I’m not sure how historians view it but I would think the Chrysler Building is not actually a
part of the 20s era since it was completed in 1930.
