Earlier this month, a tweet reading: “21M – On June 11, 2014, we will re-launch this channel as part of a brand new Nike concept. Stay tuned,” sent Nike fanatics and sneakerheads into a frenzy. All the speculation regarding this new Nike concept was silenced with the unveiling of NIKELab.
Nike is no stranger to introducing innovative technologies to improve their product line, but the mission with NIKELab is to innovate and transform the retail landscape and the consumer shopping experience. How Nike interacts and collaborates with other innovators such as Miniwiz’s Arthur Huang will be on display at NIKELab, along with some Nike’s most anticipated products. The new retail destination will also house exclusive creative collaborations and unique capsule collections. Aside from New York’s 21 Mercer, this transformation has taken place at boutiques in London, Paris, Milan, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
