“I read a quote of Matias Faldbakken’s (an artist who I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from over the last few years) in a press release of his: ‘The Eskimos have two hundred ways to say snow. I have three million ways to say no.’ After reading that I started connecting this sculpture to that thought. I happened to show the piece in Oslo, Matias’ hometown.”
