Life+Times Video Premiere: New Weather “6EQUJ5”

“The title ‘6EQUJ5’ actually refers to an interstellar signal that was picked up by SETI in 1977. We wanted to create a song that undulates and slowly unfolds, giving way to an ecstatic release, immersing the listener in alien worlds. We were interested in how the film maker Terry Chatkupt would interpret the song for the video. Rather than zero in on anything specifically related to the title, he took a broader approach and tried to make something that reflected the band’s vision as a whole.”
