Last week, Brooklyn bred music duo Junior Prom, (consisting of Mark Solomich and Erik Ratensperger), released their self-titled debut EP via Elektra Records. “Sheila Put the Knife Down” and “International” have received much acclaim – with the latter track being chosen as the 2013-14 ESPN College Basketball anthem. The duo joined forces with fellow musician, Com Truise, on this exclusive Life+Times remix of “Sheila Put the Knife Down.”

The remix is the quintessence of an underground dance track full of retro ‘80s synths, asymmetrical drum patterns, and catchy hooks. “Com Truise killed this remix. When I listen to it, I think of Don Johnson in Miami Vice. Gotta get that white blazer, stat,” Erik says. Mark adds, “I think Sheila would most definitely put the knife down and grab a wine cooler after hearing Com Truise’s late summer night remix.”

Junior Prom’s self-titled EP is available here.  Check them out on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
