“Gangsta Shit” Directed by Va$htie
“Out of all of my music video projects, this was by far the most daunting. Oddly enough, because it was less of a “job” and more of a focus to be creative and collaborative among my peers. I took the task at hand seriously. Settling on the theme of “Gangsta Shit” and realizing I was the only girl (as usual) in the bunch, I wanted to create a visual that was “gangsta” and feminine. I chose one of my all time favorite films LA FEMME NIKITA as my muse and from there my video took form. Nikita is an unlikely villain and hero, with beauty and charm to woo all. When the word “gangster” comes to mind, I think of her. Watch the video and movie. Then you’ll understand.
