2012 saw the introduction of Elijah Blake. The Def Jam/Roc Nation signee appeared on records from Rick Ross, Keyshia Cole, and The Game, and released his first mixtape Bijoux 22. As he’s emerged as one of the new faces of R&B to watch, he’s also been behind the scenes writing songs for Rihanna, Trey Songz, Ciara and Usher. While putting the finishing touches on his eagerly awaited debut Songs About Melody, Sir Elijah talks to Life+Times about how songs like Rihanna’s “No Love Allowed,” Trey Songz’s “Jupiter Love” and Usher’s “Climax” came together.
