“Worst Behavior” – Drake

“I had sent Drake a few other joints that he was feeling. I think he may have wrote to one or two of them. I didn’t send that beat off to anybody at first. I just had it. I didn’t think anyone was going to rock with it, because it’s just a different pocket and somebody has to really understand the pathway to making the rhyme pattern and flow work. It was almost like a challenge. My manager sent the record to Drake’s producer, 40. Immediately, he hit us back asking for the files and stuff. 40 and Detail worked on the record a little bit. One thing I’ve realized about working with some of the greats and seeing their process is that the ones that really make the change and the ones who can change the trajectory of music are the people who just try things. That’s one record where I feel like Drake tried to make something that people weren’t really expecting. It was cool to see that happen.”
